What Homestead OS is

Homestead OS is a tool for recording and managing information about your property — gardens, animals, tasks, inventory, plantings, harvests, and observations. It’s offered as-is, and features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

Your account

Provide accurate information and keep your login secure — you’re responsible for activity under your account. You can permanently delete your account and all its data at any time from your settings.

Your content and data

The content you enter is yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process it so we can provide the Service to you. We don’t sell it or use it for advertising. If we later add features that let you share observations with a community, participating will be opt-in, and we’ll ask before your data is used that way.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harm others;
• attempt to breach, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
• access other users’ data, or scrape or bulk-extract data you don’t own.

Not professional advice

Homestead OS — including any insights, health scores, or AI-generated suggestions it may offer — is for informational purposes only. It is not professional agronomic, veterinary, horticultural, financial, or legal advice. Growing conditions, plants, and animals vary; decisions about your land, crops, and livestock are yours, and for anything important you should consult a qualified professional.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided free today on a best-effort basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and we don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Keep your own backups of anything critical.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or risks harm to the Service or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
